Spinning for socks:)

I finished spinning up some superwash merino yesterday. I showed you all this yarn when it was on my bobbin last week. I spun some fine singles and then N-Plied them, so that I would get yarn that stripes. I am really happy with the finished yarn but the yardage is low. I am not sure why it is so low because it is very fine yarn! I only got 310 yards fingering out of 4 ounces of superwash merino, at this weight n-plied I usually get at least 50 yards more:( O-well, I will make some short socks:)

Fiber Compare:)

So yesterday I dyed up a bunch of fiber for the shop! I also dyed a little more sock yarn. Anyway I thought you all might like to see how the sock yarn and some Falkland combed top, took the same colors a little differently:)

New Years Spinning

I spun this fiber most of the day on New Years Eve and then plied it on New Years Day! It is called Story Book and was dyed by christinamariepotter on etsy:) The colors are a little off in the pictures that I took of the finished yarn. The yarn is a little more green and yellow then this! I am still trying to figure out how to get the camera to capture the colors just right!
