Today

I have had a busy week and have not gotten much knitting done! So today I am going to sit my bottom on the couch and knit :) It is overcast and cold and I have the day off! I already walked 5 miles this morning in the dark woods and I will run a few miles this evening before dark.
I came home from the woods and made my boys yummy banana raspberry muffins :)
Now it is time for knitting before all this Halloween madness happens :) Happy Adventures, Trish

Winter Frost

A few weeks ago I told you all I was designing and a gave you a sneak peak but I didn't tell you what it was...... Well today my new pattern has been released at the Bee. This fun scarf is knit with Tikal a soft fluffy Alpaca yarn. I loved knitting it and it was super fast! The pattern is one of the shops Top 10 Holiday Patterns and is available for free with purchase at the shop! I might just have to make another one :) Oh and yes it is completely reversible!

Nature Park AM

I love my morning runs and walks in the Nature Park! Good friends and exercise. What a great way to start the day.
I finished some mittens yesterday but I can't share them until they come out as one of the Top 10 Holiday Knits at the Bee. Don't worry I will share them in a couple of weeks. Happy Adventures, Trish

Another One Done

One more of my Christmas gifts is done! I am feeling good about getting them all done in time! I love that feeling :) Hopefully I will continue to feel that way. I love ticking off things on my spread sheet. These socks were knit with a heavy worsted weight wool that we carry at the Bee. The yarn is Raggi and it makes great boot socks or slipper socks to wear around the house.
Oh Oh, and I just thought you all might want to see that sweet kitty sleeping on my unfinished Umaro! I really need to just finish it!

A Date......

I went for a really nice walk in the forest this morning. Crisp air and beautiful leaves with the conversation of a friend. What a nice way to start the day. I feel so good when I move my body everyday. The best part is now I can enjoy my date.
You see I have a date with this!
This is the Ella Rae, Lace Merino Worsted. Can you believe how silly that name is. Regardless of the silly name the yarn is to die for! LOVE IT! We just got a shipment at the Bee and I can't wait to spend my day playing with it. I am designing a pattern that will be free at the shop. I wonder what it will be......... Happy Adventures, Trish

Hanging out!

I am hanging out with two of the cutest kids around today :) My boy and his kitty. While I knit socks this is the cuteness that sits next to me. It really doesn't get much better then this.
Do you have any cute knitting partners? Happy Adventures, Trish

Great way to start the day!

I had a really great 8 mile run this morning in Forest Park with my awesome running partner Stephanie. It is so amazing to me how we went from barely being able to run for a minute at a time, to running for 2 hours straight, if we want to. I love how amazing the human body is. After the run we went and had pastries at the french bakery because that is what you do after a long run! Yummmmmm! Like I said it was a great way to start the day. This afternoon I'm headed to the Bee to knit for a while and hopefully make another dent or two in the old Christmas List. Balancing exercise and knitting equally can be hard for me, so here is to me trying to figure it all out.........

Crazy

I am really making an effort to work on my Christmas knitting. I finished a pair of socks that have been on the needles for a while. I love Zauberball Crazy! The yarn has an amazing range of colors and holds up really well to wear. I have a a lot of people on my list that like socks for Christmas. Hand-knit socks really are the best.
OH OH you have to see another picture of the general cuteness that is filling up all my camera space! We sure love this little kitty. My son did name her, and her name is Cinder Fluff :) I call her Cinders.

Twist on Josephine

I made shawl recently for my best friends mother. She is a very classy and trendy lady and she happens to live in a cold climate. I thought that all of the above called for a Josephine knit with a twist! Simple and elegant but the colors are trendy. I LOVE this shawl and may have to make one for myself. Josephine by:Susan Gutperl I used 3 skeins of Silky Wool in Charcoal and 1 skein of Silky Wool in Chartreuse. US #6 needles. I didn't twist the yarn overs closed when knitting them. Silky wool is one of my all time favorite yarns if you haven't tried it, please do!
I hope she loves it as much as I do! I will give it to her during the Holidays therefor it resides at Knitting Bee for the moment, come on by and check it out. Happy Adventures, Trish

As Promised

Okay, I have pictures of the sweater I just finished! I love it and it is sooooooo cozy. I can't believe that I took it off and left it at the shop for customers to play with! The pattern is Iced by: Carol Feller. I changed a couple of things just a bit and there are notes on my project page. The yarn is the Yummmmmmmmy Kodiak that I bought at the Knitting Bee and the sweater is there if you are local and want to touch it.
Oh Oh and I am working on my Christmas list this morning! Yikes I better get knitting! Happy Adventures, Trish
